No frills modern Marriott in the area bancaria. (AC brand is intentionally no frills.) It’s been fine. I wish they had real glassware in rooms instead of paper everything. That’s my main gripe. Rooftop pool is very nice. Gym is perfectly adequate. Solid hotel at a good price point. (Don’t appreciate reception constantly speaking English to me even though it’s evident I speak Spanish.)
Ok stay as a Silver elite member. Room was spacious and one of the more modern Marriott properties in Panamà. Bed was comfortable but the hallway is quite noisy as we're my neighbours above me. No acknowledgement of my status other than thanking me for being a member. Most Marriott properties at least offer you a drink. Also, they strictly held me to the 3pm check-in, not 2.45pm. Two issues came up: I was only here 1 night and showered before I left. The drainage is horrible and the whole bathroom flooded. I didn't have enough towels to clean it all up so there was water everywhere in the bathroom and it started leaking in the room. I told reception as I left. The other issue was the TV. Some channels had horrible lines through them or wouldn't show the picture, just sound. I did report it and they sent a technician but I was tired and couldn't deal with letting them in my room. Overall, the hotel was ok but nothing special. Definitely worth it if you get a good deal.
I stayed here for a week and have no complaints. The service was great, workers were friendly. We had breakfast included, it was simple but did what it needed to do. The pool area very nice. This hotel matches their photos and I would stay there again. The location is perfect as it is surrounded by many food options that you can walk to including a couple of convenient stores across the street.
We recently stayed at the AC Hotel by Marriott Panama City and came away genuinely impressed. The room was nice — good size, clean, and well-appointed with the modern, minimalist style the AC brand is known for. Everything you need is there without the clutter, and it made for a very comfortable stay. But what truly made this place stand out was the staff. We had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful young lady by the name of Yaney — she was not only great at her job but had such a lovely manner about her. She went above and beyond with a warmth and professionalism that you don't always find, and she genuinely made our experience special. The rest of the staff were equally impressive. Everyone was always polite and made a point to acknowledge us — whether it was a friendly greeting in the lobby, a smile at the elevator, or a quick check-in to see if we needed anything. It's those small, consistent touches that turn a good hotel stay into a memorable one. The rooftop pool with its panoramic views of the Panama City skyline is a definite highlight, and the hotel's location in the financial district puts you within easy reach of restaurants, shops, and local attractions. If you're looking for a stylish, well-located hotel in Panama City with staff who truly care about your experience, the AC Hotel by Marriott is an excellent choice. And if you're lucky enough to be helped by Yaney, you're in very good hands.
