Great authentic experience, had a great time on a kayak trip and boating tour. It was nice to see all the wildlife including a sloth, monkeys and much more. The family is also really nice and welcoming and are great hosts.
Highly Recommend!!! 5 Stars The Chagres Lodge is truly a hidden gem. Communication was easy throughout. I accidentally messed up my dates when I first made the reservation, and Erik patiently walked me through exactly what I needed to do to fix it on the Airbnb website. One thing to note: both Waze and Google Maps tried to lead us astray on our drive from Colón. However, with Erik’s clear instructions and guidance, we were able to find our way without much trouble. The cabanas were absolutely charming—sparkling clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared. The fans, combined with the lovely breezes coming off the river, kept the rooms very comfortable. One of the highlights was kayaking on the river. It was incredibly relaxing and such a wonderful way to experience the surrounding nature. After a day of kayaking, a swim in the river was the perfect way to cool off. We were also treated to Alba’s delicious home-cooked meals morning and night in a gorgeous outdoor dining area overlooking the river. The entire experience felt welcoming and relaxed. We so enjoyed chatting with Erik and Alba and learning about life in the area and all the creatures that share this beautiful environment. Erik and Alba clearly care deeply about making sure their guests have a great experience. I would highly recommend staying here for anyone looking for a unique and tranquil way to experience the Chagres River area. BTW: Erik also offers a wide variety of tours beyond kayaking—it seems there’s truly something to please everyone.
Breakfast and dinner is ferfect. Located in a very small village where the road ended, nice neighborhood. Room is very clean, very comfortable bed, hot shower which Pull!). Very nice place to discover nature instead to stay Panama city. Rooms are very good isolated that if neighbors play music, you don't hear anything. Hike in the river, literally in the river was very nice but your boots get wet, better if they offer one. I would go again.
