I originally planned to stay here for only two nights, but I loved the place so much that I extended my stay to an entire week. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed. The hostel has such a warm and friendly atmosphere, with dogs, cats, families, and people of all ages, which made it feel more like a home than a hostel. The staff are incredibly kind, caring, and genuinely welcoming. They made me feel comfortable from day one. Everything is simple, but it is clear that the place is run with a lot of love and care. That is what makes it so special. The price is fair, the location is convenient and close to many attractions, and there is a delicious and affordable Colombian restaurant right across the street. Although the bathrooms are shared, they were impeccably clean every single time I used them, which I really appreciated. I truly fell in love with this place. I definitely want to come back someday, and I will happily recommend it to my friends. Thank you for making my stay in Panama so memorable!
Lovely, locally owned, family run guest house. This is an affordable and authentic Panamanian experience (not a luxury hotel). My daughter and I stayed in an air conditioned, private room. The family was so warm and kind towards us, we felt very safe and very much at home here. It is in the middle of the city, and yes, there is normal big city noise. Ubers are plentiful and inexpensive, and the empanada cafe across the street is delightful. Would absolutely stay here again!
I only stayed here briefly during a 17-hour layover. I deducted a few points for the lack of communication after THREE attempts to reach the property via Booking.com and WhatsApp. Fortunately, the property was there, and I had a place to sleep upon arrival. This is more of a hostel than a bed-and-breakfast, with a homey, lived-in feel. The entrance appears to be undergoing some improvements, but the peaceful koi pond out front made for a chill waiting area. Malie at the front desk was friendly and efficient and even set out a few grab-and-go breakfast items for my early 5:30 departure. Gracias! 🙏 The glamping tent was awesome—a comfortable full or queen-size bed with a portable A/C unit tucked beneath the mango trees. Despite being in the common outdoor area, the background noise was fine, and I slept well. The rustic shared bathroom featured the best shower I've had in a month of travel! The atmosphere felt slightly off due to one long-term guest's immature behavior toward others, but it didn't significantly impact my stay. I would happily return for the glamping tent, excellent shower, well-stocked kitchen, billiards table, nice outdoor space, and—best of all—FREE ICE (and filtered water). The house dogs and cats were adorable, and transportation was easy and affordable: Metro from the airport (just follow the directions on Panama House's website) and about an $18 Uber back to the airport. Overall, I'd stay here again.
Super duper nice host. They have a piano you can play. There is a mysterious cat, a dog, and another dog like a little toy here hanging. So cute. There are parrots too. I was using their wifi when the shower rain came in. It is really nice to sip a cup of coffee when working with wifi and take a peek at the rain at the backyard. The location is great since you can easily walk from the metro, and there is a food place next to the metro where many locals go too. Super 99 is a little walking distance. It could be further from the party and bar if you are a night life person but great value overall. They folded my bedsheet and blanket everyday when I was out and about 🥹I felt so at home. Thank you.
We had a great stay at this hostel. The service was very good, both over the phone and in person. The room was small but clean and comfortable. The three negative things I would say are : the birds are really loud early in the morning, people smoking on the terrasse is annoying and the water tastes moldy. Other than that, would recommend!
