I have a very good service in KAANDELA. I had a 6-course tasting menu in the noon. Luis Q did a very good job on explaining the menu and also the ingredients. The overall menu is really good and I literally ate every last bite I could. The one I'm impressed the most is the dessert named " Buscando Guayaba".
We had a really amazing experience at Kaandela with the 8 course tasting menu. There was a really great variety of tastes and textures. Each course was a perfect amount of food and we left feeling very satisfied. The food was also excellently supplemented by our waiter, Amiclar. He was very knowledgeable about each dish and origins, sharing with us the background of special ingredients that made the night very memorable.
Amilcar and Isaac were both truly spectacular. When it came to service AND hospitality, they were on another level. The dishes and food were beautifully presented and the flavors sublime. I have visited fine dining restaurants across the Western Hemisphere and this was one of the most special and memorable experiences for me. The place and atmosphere is special, the staff is attentive, welcoming and kind. The food is authentic and unique, with numerous local ingredients highlighted. Truly this is a special and memorable restaurant and I cannot wait to return! Maybe is it crazy to say, but it reminds me of Eleven Madison Park in NYC (the hospitality, not neccesarily the space or style of food). All the details are attended to, from start to finish.
What a beautiful experience! Some friends and I did the 8 course tasting with wine pairing and it was incredible. Luis Futbol was the perfect compliment. His fabulous English helped us to understand and appreciate the food and intention even more so. KAANDELA is a stunning, intimate restaurant with a staff fully committed to giving you a one of a kind food adventure. We couldn’t have asked for more. Don’t miss out on your next trip to Panama.
Kaandela was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The food was incredible, I started with the beets, which were light, fresh, and full of flavor. Then I had the steak cooked medium, and it was perfectly tender and delicious. Paired with a great red wine, everything complemented each other so well. Beyond the food, the service truly made the experience unforgettable. As a solo traveler, having such warm and genuine hospitality made my night. Huge thank you to manager Luis Afu for being so kind and taking the time to chat with me, it honestly made my day. Luis Futbol was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and provided amazing service throughout the evening. Also, props to Julian chef and Brian on the grill for such an outstanding dining experience. Highly recommend if you’re in Panama City!
