Description
Experience a natural, sweet, and silent environment, surrounded by coffee plantations and native to the region. Visit this high-altitude space in Boquete, Chiriquí, over 1,600 meters above sea level, where you can combine knowledge with life conservation. In this experience, you'll take a full tour of the apiary, which has a variety of bee types. You'll learn about their history, habitat, care, and breeding from our expert and passionate guides.
We'll explain the importance and benefit that this small but great friend brings to the environment, the quintessential pollinators of the world's tropical and subtropical forests. And the benefits for humans, too.
We'll open one of the hives to see the intricate inner workings, how the bees deposit their honey, lay their eggs, and develop naturally in their habitat.
We'll find the hives during a short 20-minute walk. Bees visit many flowers to get pollen, so we'll observe some of them.
