I booked 2 separate massage/daypass experiences at the Eforea Spa via Resort Pass for July 4 and July 5 in Panama City, Panama. Both experiences included full use of spa facilities including Relaxation Room (the only nice amenity), sauna, whirlpool Jacuzzi and shower area (the wet area). You are only allowed as a Resort Pass guest to use the wet area BEFORE your massage. After your massage, you are limited to the Relaxation Room or you can use the hotel pool. The hotel pool is open to all guests of the hotel not just spa guests. The matron (an unpleasant woman) at the Reception Desk is rude. She treats Resort Pass guests as if they were dirty peasants on property for a freebie. On July 4th, the Matron allowed me access to the Relaxation Room that I paid to use. After my massage on July 5th, the Matron told me to leave the Relaxation Room because she had a paying group of 10 people and that she now needed ALL 6 seats so I must now leave. I had only been in the Relaxation Room for 30 minutes after the massage!! I was shocked at the surliness of the Matron and her refusal to acknowledge that I paid for the full use of the spa just like the Eforea spa guests of 10. Please keep in mind that the only decent amenity of the spa is the Relaxation Room. The Relaxation Room offers jarred snacks of peanuts, cookies, etc. as well as pieces of fruit. There are no tongs to access the snacks in the jar. I watched guests shove their hands in the jar to grab snacks. It is unsanitary, but the staff does not do anything about it. There is a small residential tea kettle that holds very little water (see pics). The tea bags and cups run out quickly. I brought my own tea cup on July 5 because I knew there might not be a cup available. The fact that I was thrown out of a spa service in the Relaxation Room that I had paid for is disgusting. The massages were mediocre and the spa experience was ruined by the dismissive attitude of the unpleasant Matron. There are better spas in Panamá. Check out the Westin Playa Bonita. Do not use Resort Pass because it is a shameless money grab. If the services are materially misrepresented by the spa, Resort Pass does nothing to assist you.
Yerisabel was great to work with. Great circuit of sauna, steam, jacuzzi, and shower!
My fiance and I had an excellent time here. We did a couples experience where we had time in the saunas and hot tub, a massage, and then a cheese / wine / fruit board that was delicious
