The hotel is nice and is well maintained. Service is amazing, food is great and swimming pools are good. You can enjoy and relax a weekend without doubt. Te bed was OK, a bit uncomfortable for my taste but beds is so a personal opinion. Water in the shower is low pressure or is blocked by minerals so be patient when taking good a bath.
This is our 4th stay, our last being in 2019. What used to be a 5-Stsr experience has dropped down to a 4 star at best. The property opened for business in 2009 and it feels like no maintenance has been completed since then. Peeling paint, worn furniture, unmanicured landscaping and chipped tiles are everywhere. I'm really surprised Marriott admits them into their "Autograph Collection". However, the food is delicious and service is still friendly. Not 100% sure I'd stay here again until some renovations are completed.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an amazing stay at the Marriott Buenaventura in Panama! What really made the difference for us was the people — every staff member we interacted with was kind, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Special thanks to the Criollo restaurant team — Fernando, Eric, Tatiana, Genesis, and everyone there — for the great service and making every meal feel special. We also loved La Vecindad (Mexican restaurant)! Big shoutout to Orlinda, Dana, Omar, and Clarisnel — and the Karaoke night was such a fun experience. Thank you as well to Eliecer and Davis at Tai Kai for their excellent service. And a very special thanks to Angela, who kept our room spotless every day — we really appreciated her care and attention. We also enjoyed the restaurant deals and the events organized by the hotel — they added a lot to our stay. Overall, we had a blast and would definitely come back. Highly recommend!
Just returned from a 3 night stay at Buenaventura. The hotel , facilities and staff were exceptional. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left all was perfect for our vacation. The room was clean and spacious, There was no noise at all which allowed us to sleep comfortable. The room was made up on time every day. The restaurants were perfect and the breakfast each morning was extensive and cooked very well. Staff , super friendly with BIG smiles and wonderful personalities. Overall recommend this resort and we will definitely return

As a family that has traveled to over 60 countries, we can confidently say this was one of a memorable vacations we have had—and the highest compliment of all came from our son, who declared this his favorite trip ever. The property is stunning, serene, and impeccably maintained, but what truly sets Buenaventura apart is its people. A special thank-you to Louis, the manager, who went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was perfect. From thoughtful touches to proactive care, his warmth, professionalism, and genuine desire to make our experience exceptional did not go unnoticed. This wasn’t just a hotel stay—it was an experience filled with comfort, care, and unforgettable moments as a family. Buenaventura has set a new benchmark for hospitality, and we cannot wait to return. Highly, highly recommended.
