Bar/beach combo hard to beat! Great cocktails and service too, Suri recommended the pina smash and it was great!! Also Kaleb was really fun and told us a lot about were he’s from and gave us some ideas about what to do while we’re here

Nice looking place, just bad food and a bit overpriced. Smash burger was a 2/10. Nearly $20 for a burger with a tiny portion of fries, the price of some of the best burger restaurants in the world. In the name of being constructive, I would recommend the chef watch some YouTube videos of what a smash burger is, rather than naming the dish based on a popular thing they have seen. The burger should be thin and have a beautiful dark crust resulting from the pressing of the meat to the grill. We waited nearly one hour for a thick undercooked puc of mince which took up around 40% of the rather dry burger bun. No colour on the beef. The cheese was some sort of pre-grated monstrosity whose flour coating meant the cheese strands did not melt and instead had a clumpy, chalky residue. The garnish was a burger sized, thick slice of dripping wet tomato to ensure maximum sogginess, a slice of raw onion and the biggest lettuce leaf I’ve ever seen. All in all, we have a flavourless, wet, mince puck, wrapped in unmelted clumpy cheese, undressed salad, in a dry crumbly bun. The portion size would make anyone weep, particularly at this price point. I can name everything wrong with this burger because i ate every last bite, because I was so starving by the time it finally came which was around 50 mins. It’s a shame, everyone wants to make the same money as big fancy restaurants, but unless you are willing to learn and put in the attention to detail that they do, you won’t reap the same rewards. Note: the location is spectacular. The staff were perfectly polite and nice. I just gave a 3 because when I explained why the burger was bad, the waitress did explain that the burger isn’t supposed to be like that, and pointed out what it should be like… which begs the question why it was served. It was also a crazy long wait nearly 50mins and the restaurant was no where near capacity. Hotel is beautiful and super clean though. Good for a beer and a great view.
