Our group of 3 couples visited Toucan Hill Lodge recently and had the most care free, relaxing and beautiful adventure we could have ever expected near the most beautiful deserted beach I have experienced in my worldwide travels of over 60 countries. The facilities were clean, comfortable and took advantage of the surrounding jungle landscpe. Sitting in their refreshing swimming pool watching a group of howler monkeys make it's way across the treetops, dozens of varietys of birds (including the lodges namesake... toucans!) and a sloth make it's way up into a tree was nothing less than amazing to behold. All of our needs were provided with a personal level of friendship from our wonderful hosts Kev, Sandra and Mandy who walked the tightrope of meeting our needs and allowing us our privacy masterfully. Their information on the local area, inhabitants and the many sightseeing adventures available were nothing less than expert. Their organization of our day trips were made professionally to our exact requests without any mishaps, apart from a slight delay on our way to town when we were forced to wait... while a sloth slowly made its way across road before us! If you like warm morning strolls along miles of deserted, palm tree lined beaches as waves cascade from the deep blue sea onto the golden shoreline... there is nowhere I have witnessed as near and cost effective as the Toucan Hill Lodge and I highly recommend you and your small group of friends take advantage of this hidden paradise
