Mahalo Cocina y Jardín was one of the highlights of our trip. We visited on a Saturday evening with a 6:00 p.m. reservation after I had made our booking earlier in the month. I had read several reviews recommending the garden seating, so I specifically requested it. When we arrived, I wondered if it might be a little too humid to sit outside, but with the fans going, it ended up being absolutely perfect—refreshing, comfortable, and such a beautiful setting for the evening. Our servers, Samir and Gabriel, truly made the experience memorable. They were warm, genuine, and down-to-earth, taking the time to explain both the menu and the history of the restaurant. Gabriel made some fantastic drink recommendations, and Samir patiently answered all of our questions about the menu. There were quite a few of us, and we all had different questions, but he never made us feel rushed. He offered thoughtful suggestions, was attentive throughout the evening, and provided some of the best customer service we’ve experienced. The food was outstanding. Every person at our table raved about their dish and commented on different things they loved. Each menu item had a unique twist while still feeling approachable, and everything tasted incredibly fresh, balanced, and flavorful. You could tell a lot of care and creativity went into every plate. Between the beautiful garden atmosphere, delicious food, excellent cocktails, and exceptional service, we couldn’t have asked for a better evening. Thank you, Samir and Gabriel, for making our visit so enjoyable and memorable. We will absolutely recommend Mahalo Cocina y Jardín to anyone visiting Panama City and look forward to returning ourselves.
We had a great experience at this restaurant! The atmosphere was beautiful and the food was delicious! My friend and I shared the tuna tostadas and I ordered the black sesame tuna. It was so yummy! We ordered the banana cheesecake to finish. But…the best part of the experience was definitely the service! All the gentleman were so lovely and attentive ❤️
Amazing food! As a vegan, it is so delightful to see the vegan items clearly labeled. Very flavorful and filling food. Service is also amazing! Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere, and the staff is so friendly and extremely welcoming. I am very pleased with this restaurant and my experience! I went There multiple times during my trip to Panamá.
My tastes are simple. A secret garden with an inside-outside feel. Cute tables, a canopy of Edison bulbs strung overhead. OK, so I also want great food and friendly service. Like I said, I don’t ask for much. It’s always a high-stress (OK, so a slight exaggeration) moment walking through the door. Who will greet you? How? Will they love me enough to give me an awesome table? TBH, if I sit down and don’t like it because I didn’t pass whatever kind of secret measurement you have, then I’m outta there. I fell in love with Mahalo Cocina y Jardin immediately. The happy, friendly, I-will-make-sure-you-are-well-looked-after greeter gave me a great table in their magical garden. Please, please, please let the food be good. I ordered the cauliflower to start. The plan was to share it with Husband but I decided the wise thing to do would be to divorce him so I could have the lot. I have no idea what the sauce was but I now I need to eat it everyday. When Husband and I rekindled our love he ordered the burger. It oozed with all the right things, specifically bacon jam. I had the Asian chicken bowl and silently coveted his bacon jam. But not fo long. My chicken was quite bland but bacon jam fixes everything. That and the one fry I was allowed. We were so well looked after I forgave the chicken and would happily go back and live on the cauliflower. A cute and magical place and I defy anyone to say otherwise.
Such a nice place we’ve been there twice. Recommend you to seat outside, there’s such a nice atmosphere. Service: very slow, twice we came and we’d been waiting for the menu 5-10 min, after you order you’ll be waiting ~ 30 mins for the dishes.. Food: really tasty, I love it. Just because of it we came back.
