The late-night front desk associate, Aaron, was absolutely exceptional. He went above and beyond in every way, delivering outstanding customer service with professionalism, attentiveness, and a genuinely welcoming attitude. Employees like Aaron are the reason guests return. His dedication made a lasting impression, and because of him, I will definitely be coming back.
Overall a good experience. Standard rooms and gym. Staff were friendly and check-in was relatively smooth. The property doesn't provide slippers, bathrobes, toothbrush or razors. Breakfast is basic.
My experience in this hotel was......mediocre. Aesthetically speaking it was a gorgeous place and looked great. Rooms were okay. While big i did think the layout was awkward and the couches were quite comfortable. Beds were great though. Service could use a lot of improvement. When called and requested items it would take them at least 40 mins to get to us, which is absurd. We told the front desk to make notes about basic needs (there were enough supplies for 2 people, even though the room is catered for 4 people) so we would not have to keep calling the staff. Yet every day we practically went through the same thing. Views were nice. From the bedroom you were able to see the city and living room you were able to see the ocean. Location is great with a bunch of tasty food spots nearby. I'd recommend this location for a quick visit or for business, not a vacation.
Front desk service was disappointing, no friendly greeting which is so important to feel a warm welcome. As a former Marriott employee, I know this company values great service. Usually aloft hotels are fun with high and friendly energy and offer a complimentary drink upon arrival, not the case here.
I just got back from a 3-night stay at Aloft Panama, and honestly, it was exactly what I needed. I booked it because I’ve had a good experience before at Aloft in Playa del Carmen, so I figured I’d stick with something that worked — especially since I’m now traveling with two dogs. If you travel with pets, you know how stressful it can be to find a place that truly welcomes them and not just “accepts” them. The hotel is conveniently located not far from the airport, which made logistics easy. Big plus when you’re juggling luggage and dogs. They charge $22 per dog per night, which I think is reasonable for a clean, modern hotel. And the staff? Very friendly and helpful. When I arrived, there were only a few towels in the room, but I called downstairs and within minutes more were delivered. No drama, no waiting forever. The room itself was clean, sheets fresh, bed super comfortable — which matters when you have long days. My view was technically city view with a partial ocean view… although a cement rooftop took up most of it 😅 But honestly, I didn’t care. I was out most of the day and had a packed schedule. Breakfast at “Red” restaurant was okay — nothing extraordinary, but perfectly fine to start the day. I also really liked that they don’t make you wear those annoying resort bracelets. Small detail, but it makes a difference. It feels more relaxed, more grown-up. My dogs actually spent more time in the room than I did, and they seemed totally comfortable. No complaints from them, which is always a good sign. I took them to Omar Park for walks, and they loved it — playing with other dogs, lots of space, very nice vibe. The pool is on the lobby level. It’s small, but good enough — especially if you’re traveling with kids. Not a “resort pool,” but it does the job. Overall, this place works really well for busy travelers and especially for people with dogs. It’s practical, comfortable, pet-friendly, and easy. Would I stay again? Yes. And if you’re traveling with dogs, that probably tells you everything you need to know 🐾
