Aqua lounge was an absolutely amazing hostel, we had initially booked 3 nights but ended up extending for another night. The bar and swimming area is so nice, they had plenty of activities in the evening and there was overall a really nice vibe in the place with a mix of different people and ages. They also upgraded our room which was so lovely! Highly recommend
Had a great time at Aqua Lounge. It’s a social hostel with lots of activities going on and the volunteers Cori, Luca and Malea were super fun and friendly as well they‘ll make sure you have a good time there and are happy to help you out with anything.
Great vibes and music. They blessed us with some good afrobeats and Caribbean music. Cori was such a great host and so welcoming. They also had a great selection of liquor and my favorite mezcal!
Booked one night and ended up staying 5 nights total, I liked the hostel vibe and setup. The staff were friendly, especially Martina, who greeted me when I first arrived and showed me around, we became friends throughout my stay. Martina (plus the nice laundry lady) helped me get all my laundry washed before I left which was a real help, since I was going to visit a friend after I departed, if you need a mass wash, I recommend paying their $5 fee which includes a wash and dry cycle for a good sized load. They had daily activities, nice places to hangout, a big kitchen, with lots of people to meet and party with. Girls dorm room felt safe with leaving my belongings out, because the hostel security was great, and entry to the dorm space was by wristband only. Only complaint is the girls dorm had warm water (not hot), the room and bathroom had tiny and medium sized cochroaches (insecticide would help), some girls in the room complained about bites from their bed but I wasnt biten during my stay. & when the Air conditioning was turned off the room had a musty smell, but it wasn't unbearable, just a lack of air flow, mixed with the humidity I think. For the price you pay per night, all those were small issues that comes with staying in budget accommodation. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay, and would return in the future if passing through. I liked the curtains too, it made days when you were hungover or not wanting to party very private.
We had an amazing time at Aqua. The location is absolutely stunning and truly one of the most beautiful places we have visited. Martina and the rest of the staff made the experience even more special. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Their warm hospitality really stood out. We would definitely come back and highly recommend Aqua to anyone looking for a memorable experience.
