Casa Acuario is an absolute gem! You can tell that the owners Mandy and JP have put a lot of thought and care into every detail. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and among my favorite meals in Panama. I slept very comfortably and enjoyed being able to snorkel and see lots of incredible coral and fish from right in front our door.
We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Acuario on Carenero Island. Our room had everything we could possibly need, with so many thoughtful details to make our stay comfortable. Our room had a deck right out over the water, with stunning views and lots of fun boat action to sit and watch. Breakfast was delicious both days - I highly recommend the omelette and banana pancake. The honour system bar saved us from having to go into town to buy beer for our own little happy hour on the deck. The location is great - some excellent nearby restaurants, and just a couple minute boat ride to the town. Thanks JP and Mandy for being such thoughtful hosts!
Casa Acuario is a real life island paradise! The boutique hotel is a beautiful and impeccably maintained refuge. The thoughtful details throughout were consistently impressive - from the abundant greenery cuttings and floral arrangements to the gorgeous vintage decor mixed with classic style - aesthetically, it is hard to beat! We had a balcony room and while there is not a bad view from the hotel, watching the boats go by and the waves come in from the outdoor hammock on the balcony was an experience I'll be dreaming about for a long time. The staff are all incredibly kind and make one of the best breakfast menus I've ever had at a hotel (I'm already missing the banana pancakes and yogurt bowl!). The owners are so friendly and have clearly put their heart and soul into this beautiful spot. I've already recommended it to family and friends, and we plan to return!
Rarely do you find a magical place where you feel like family from the moment you step foot inside. Casa acuario is that place. Mandy and JP, the super-cool owners, have thought of everything you could possible need for your stay in Bocas and more than you didn’t think you needed or wanted. Breakfasts were beyond delicious with plenty of options. Town was a quick boat ride away. This was one of our favorite stays anywhere and we can’t wait to go back.
What a treasure -including all the staff! We spent the last 2 nights in Boca at Casa Acuario and it was the perfect way to end the week (wished we could have stayed even longer).Every detail is considered and Mandy, JP, Gabriel and staff pour their hearts into making guests feel taken care of. The rooms are super comfortable and absolutely beautiful but it's the overall vibe that makes Casa Acuario a truly special place.
