This is one of the most beautiful hotels in the world! An old monastery in Casco Viejo has been rebuilt into an outstanding space. So beautiful, unique and historical, that tours are offered twice a day. No detail overlooked...rooms, common areas, bathrooms, floors, balconies are all meticulously rebuilt. The restaurants delivered DELICIOUS food at every meal. Every staff member was accommodating, professional, warm and caring. The gym was small...so what! Get your steps in by exploring Old Town by foot..no car needed. Hyatt Members get special perks. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
The hotel is beautiful and in the heart of Cusco Viejo. The service is friendly and thoughtful without being obsequious. Our room was in the Spanish wing. While small, it was well-appointed, clean, and fresh. The bed was soft with quality linens. We had two meals at the primary restaurant. Both were excellent.
I would come back to Panama City just to stay at this hotel. The story of its evolution is amazing and the owners did a fantastic job of creating an elegant yet inviting hotel. The staff was wonderful and we particularly loved the fresh avocados served from the property’s very own tree!
So glad we choosed to stay at La compañia for our fist trip to Panama. We got the spanish wings, beautiful room and comfortable bedding. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the old city. The doormen are always welcoming with smile and Barbara from the frontdesk was very helpful (Thank You!!) We had dinner at El Santuario, which was lovely and The American Bar for snacks and drinks, servers are very friendly and the foods were excellent. The only downside is breakfast from the coffee shop. Will definitely stay at La Compañia again for the next trip!
My birthday at Hotel La Compañía was nothing short of extraordinary, and truly one of the most memorable hotel experiences I’ve had. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely spoiled by the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. Every detail was so thoughtfully curated, and it was clear they genuinely cared about making my stay special. The room itself was absolutely beautiful, an elegant blend of history and luxury, with one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. It was the kind of space you look forward to returning to, even after a full day of exploring. One of the highlights was the incredible massage at their in-house spa, which was pure bliss and the perfect way to ease into a day of celebration. The entire experience felt indulgent, calming, and deeply restorative. What truly set this stay apart, though, were all the thoughtful touches. I arrived to find a delicious birthday cake waiting in my room, and later, while celebrating with friends at Capella Rooftop Bar, another cake appeared—completely unexpected and such a joyful moment. As if that wasn’t enough, we were treated to complimentary champagne by the pool, adding an extra sparkle to an already perfect day. Every interaction with the team felt genuine and effortless, and they managed to strike that rare balance between professionalism and heartfelt hospitality. I left feeling incredibly grateful, celebrated, and already dreaming of my return. Hotel La Compañía is a true gem in Casco Viejo and an unforgettable place to mark a special occasion.
