Folklore Without Borders, 1st Latin American International Festival
The objective of this festival is to promote Folklore, arts and culture in our beautiful country of Panama and to know the dances of the delegations that visit us.
(8/10/2018 - web) Panama.- From 13 to 23 October 2018, 7 couples from 3 Latin American countries will give their folklore at the 1st Latin American International Festival, "Folklore Without Borders" organized by María Cristina Ruíz Guerra, General Director of the Dance Academy and Folklore Projections RITMOS DE MI TIERRA and Delgada por Panamá of the AIFL (International Association of Latin American Folklore).
The objective of this festival is to promote Folklore, arts and culture in our beautiful country that is Panama and to know the dances of the delegations that visit us.
There are three Latin American countries, Mexico, Ecuador and Peru, a total of seven couples, that together with the members of the Dance Academy and Folkloric Projections RITMOS DE MI TIERRA will offer a folkloric tour. Among the presentations the groupings will also be presented in state schools such as: the Primary School Rep. Of Colombia, Rep. Of Chile and the Panama Commercial Institute. The Festival will have no cost to the public.
The Dance Academy and Folkloric Projections RITMOS DE MI TIERRA is covering, with the resources of its director, María Cristina Ruiz, since it only has the support of the Community Board of Mateo Iturralde and her H.R. Omar Montilla, as well as Deputy Raúl Pineda, who support the inauguration of the Festival and the only private company to support this project is Grupo Melo.
The inauguration of the Festival will take place in the sector of Paraíso, San Miguelito, with a small parade of the delegations and the folkloric presentation of the participating groups of the Festival, to the delight of the residents and public who wish to appreciate the folk dances of the countries who visit us
