Panama Jazz Festival 2019 being the largest Jazz stage in the region, continues surprising the public and contributing to society culture, rhythm and inclusion. In this sixteenth edition we have the debut of Danilo Pérez's Global Messengers, musical project where Danilo Pérez shares talent with artists from Palestine, Greece, Jordan, the United States and Panama, which will also have the honor of premiering on Wednesday 16 January at the Athenaeum Convention Center of the City of Knowledge, during the night of gala concert, the musical composition commissioned by the Mayor of Panama to honor the 500 years of the City of Panama.

The Global Messengers, is a group made up of members from the United States, Palestine, Greece, Jordan and Panama. Farayi Malek (USA-voice), Vasilis Kostas (Greece- laouto Greek), Layth Al-Rubaye (Jordan-violin), Naseem Alatrash (Palestine-cello), Tareq Rantisi ( Palestine-percussion) and Danilo Pérez (Panama-Piana), using their talent and impressing through beautiful melodies and syncopated rhythms.

This fusion and interpretation have the capacity to carry to an audience to experience the ancient practice of building a community through music.

Panama Jazz Festival 2019 with invited artists from the likes of Alex Jr. and Russel Blake and his group Sons of Panama, the Canadian saxophonist with her group from Cuba Jane Bunnett & amp; Maqueque, the American trombonist Andrew Hayward, the Swedish trombonist Gunhild Carlin, the guitarist Israeli Rotem Shivan, the Colombian singer Lucía Pulido and her group Corazonantes, in addition to the Panamanian artist honored Alex Blake y Familia.

From January 14 to 19, waste of talent with our national musicians that include the grouping of Roberto Delgado & amp; Orchestra, Aphrodisiac, Idania Downman & amp; The Emotions, Omar Diaz and his group Dedé, Luz Acosta Ensamble, The Blues Dogs, Santos Diablos, Calabar, José Luis Medina, King Cruz Salsa Quintet, Panama Jazz All Stars, the Panamanian Folklore Group Shuruka, and the Danilo Pérez Foundation Ensembles.

And as every year, participation of important high prestige educational institutions as the Berklee Global Jazz Institute, New England Conservatory and New York Jazz Academy. Other Groups that accompany us include the Costa Rica group, Orquesta Juventud Esperanza, Orion Lion Chile Ensemble, Carrera Quinta, Argentine guitarist Claudio Ragazzi, Making Movies, Yuri Namkung and the group of teachers of the Music Exchange program Classical, the Swedish trombonist PJ Anderson, and other guests at the festival's educational events. Us Toca, Marca, Cambia, is the meaning of the Panama Jazz Festival 2019, a Festival that has changed the lives of many, bringing many people to Jazz music and demonstrating for 16 consecutive years that Panama has a lot to offer at a musical level.
