It’s a large and comfortable hotel. The TVs are not the latest Smart TVs. Location OK as near a Metro Station but it’s not pretty or that great. I stayed in a different location prior which I preferred.
We spent 3 days in Panama City. This hotel had nice rooms - clean and comfortable. No balconies. Breakfast was excellent every day - very nice selection. We dined at the restaurant in the hotel and it was very good. The Bella Vista Sky bar has odd hours. Twice we went to visit in the evening for a nightcap and it was closed. We tried the pool, it was quite cool. You don't have too much of a view from the pool, however can see a bit of the city from the deck. Location is good and walking distance to a lot of amenities. Uber is fast and efficient. Good value.
Pretty good. Room was fine. Smelled a bit musty. Didn't bother me but might be difficult for those with allergies/asthma. Rooms were supposed to have a coffee maker but mine didn't which was a bit disappointing. Breakfast had a nice spread. We liked the area. Pool on the roof was enjoyable but closes at 7pm which was a bummer.
We stayed at the Evenia Hotel twice, arriving and leaving from Panama City. Based on international standards, the hotel qualifies best for a 3-star hotel. Amenities and breakfast room are adequate for 3-stars, but breakfast selection is limited (not much for healthy options). The hotel lacks cleaning staff, or cleaning staff lacks supervision. Our rooms were only superficially cleaned on both occasions. On our first night we arrived late and were tired. Room seemed ok, but on further inspection in the morning and with light, we noticed how dirty the room was (hairs on floor, cookie wrapper on top shelf, and soap of previous guest still in the shower). The management did not seem to care about our concerns and complaints and no remedy was offered. To make up they tried to offer us a late check-out which we were not able to us! The area around the hotel is attractive, offering many hotel alternatives and excellent restaurants.
