Reviews
This'll be a long review, but let's go. 1. Rooms: the main room is spacious, lots of room for shoes, luggage and for two people to walk comfortably. There is a luggage rack (only one, which is fine), a wardrobe with an iron and an ironing board. The bed was very comfortable and big, with 4 pillows in total. Pillows are pretty big and, for me, a little too big, didn't like it that much. There is a little safe and a small fridge also. The outlets are friendly to North and South America, if you're coming from Europe, bring an adapter. The bathroom is also big but could use some attention. The faucet was loose, the toilet sit would stay up because it wouldn't fit properly, I guess(?). The shower was amazing, lots of water, both cold and hot water! The exhaust fan in the bathromm was a little loud but nothing too bad. Until now, only things that wouldn't rise a red flag. AC very good and very silent! My room had a TV but I didn't turned it on, so I don't know what channels you can tune in. 🚩 the coffee machine was dirty and used, and the filter hadn't been changed in a while. This a huge red flag, because I got the feeling something else might not have been changed or cleaned. 2. Breakfast: in a word: underwhelming. The coffee machine reservoir was empty so I had to ask the attendant for some coffee (and I got my coffee right away). Very little fruit, some scrambled eggs and some fried stuff which I was nor familiar with. Some buns with cinnamon and normal ones also. There were two types of juice, fruit punch and orange. 3. Lobby: the moment we entered the hotel, there was a smell of wet carpet and mold. Nothing too bad but noticeable. On the other hand, lots of couches to seat, tables and everything, fast wi-fi if you need it, receptionist very kind and attentive and the employees very kind and respectful! Didn't use much of the hotel like the pool area and gym, so I'll not elaborate on that. 4. Location: amazing location, the street's got lots of restaurants, pubs, drugstores and stuff like that. You won't run out of things to eat or drink. Uber was almost instant to the airport also and to other locations, which is a plus. I would recommend you don't get a room facing the streets once the panamanians really enjoy honking for some reason and there was a lot of honking! In general: the hotel could use some attention and maintenence. Some floor tiles out of alignment, some expanded MDF because of water been spilled on them, paint stained because of water infiltration and so on. It's a great hotel if you just want to have a good bath and some good night of sleep. Apart from this, not so much of a good hotel. Good value for the money!
We wanted to stay in a central place during our visit to Panama this fit the bill. This is located next to Mercado and restaurants. We did feel a slightly musty odur but once We turned on the Ac it went away. It has a rather small pool. The breakfast was good with options of fresh fruits different egg preperations and cheese juice and coffee. Can't beat location.
