Description

Your day tour begins early with a pick-up from your Panama City lodging between 5:00am and 5:45am. You will travel by shared SUV with up to five other guests to the Port of Carti, a journey of 2.5 to 3 hours through jungle highlands. Along the way, the driver may stop to show wildlife such as monkeys and sloths and at a grocery store to purchase snacks or drinks.

At the port, a lancha boat and your San Blas tour guide will be ready to begin the island tour. The roughly 30-minute boat ride to Isla Guasirdup may be bumpy with ocean spray. Boats provide sun protection and ample space for comfort.

On Isla Guasirdup, relax on the beach, enjoy coffee and fresh fruit, swim in clear turquoise waters, and use provided snorkel equipment (limited availability) to explore colorful reef fish. You can also meet members of the Kuna community and learn about their traditions.

The tour continues to Isla Hierba for a freshly prepared lunch of fried or grilled fish, plantains, and salad. Vegetarian and other dietary alternatives are available on request. Lobster meals must be ordered when booking but are not available between March 1 and May 31.

In the afternoon, visit a nearby indigenous Kuna community to see traditional ways of life and Mola artwork craftsmanship.

The return boat ride leaves between 3:00pm and 3:30pm, arriving at the Port of Carti where your driver will transport you back to Panama City, arriving by approximately 7:00pm.
