Begin with a shared hotel pickup between 5:00 and 5:45 AM in Panama City. After a stop for breakfast and snacks (preparing your own recommended during high season), travel 42 kilometers through mountainous terrain to Carti port. From there, take a boat to the San Blas Islands.
Enjoy a welcome mojito or cocoloco on board before visiting a traditional Guna village. Learn about the Guna community’s customs, social structure, and craftsmanship, including the creation of molas—intricate embroidered textiles you can buy from local artisans.
