Description
Learn to play the drums with Omar, a professional Panamanian multi-percussionist and teacher with over 20 years of experience. Explore the history of the Tamborito, a traditional musical genre and dance originating in Panama with deep African, Indigenous, European, and Caribbean roots.
Omar is dedicated to preserving the cultural legacy of the Tamborito and has developed an engaging method to teach various Panamanian rhythms suitable for all skill levels and ages 13 and up. The workshop creates a supportive space where participants gather to enjoy drumming together.
The session concludes with a group toast and photo. Shortly after, you will receive a custom video of your experience, perfect for sharing or keeping as a memento.
