Begin your tour by boarding the boat at Isla Flamenco in Panama City, enjoying city views as you head toward the north end of the Gaillard Cut where the Chagres River meets the canal. Observe the winding shape of the Gaillard Cut, a feat of engineering carved through the continental divide.

Travel along a 13.7-kilometer route toward the Pedro Miguel locks, passing lush hills and forest landscapes. Discover the region’s history and geological importance while noting ongoing maintenance efforts required to keep the canal operational. At Pedro Miguel locks, watch the ship lowered 9 meters into Miraflores Lake. Navigate across the lake to the Miraflores locks for a further 16-meter descent in two steps. Continue to the town of Gamboa where you disembark and take a bus back to Isla Flamenco.
