Description
Begin your day greeted by resident dolphins as you glide by lancha boat toward a mangrove forest where you can observe sloths resting on the trees.
The tour continues to Cayo Coral, renowned for its coral gardens and excellent snorkeling conditions. Equip your mask and snorkel to explore colorful reef fish and marine life in the crystal-clear waters.
Next, visit the Zapatilla Cays, a pair of uninhabited islands east of Bastimentos Island. North Zapatilla Cay covers 14 hectares, and South Zapatilla Cay spans 34 hectares. These islands feature coral reefs, mangroves, white sandy beaches, palm and coconut trees. Between March and September, you may observe turtles migrating to lay eggs on the western beaches.
Spend time walking along the sandy shores, relaxing under palm trees, or exploring the surrounding coral reefs.
At lunchtime, return to Cayo Coral for a freshly prepared meal served at the Sea restaurant (meal cost not included).
The tour ends at the 'Hollywood' natural pool, named for the abundance of starfish in the area. Please respect the marine life by avoiding contact with the starfish.
