COVID-19 - Panama Updates

These are the most relevant government measures against COVID-19 in force in Panama since June 7, 2021:
 

  1. Curfew throughout the country from Monday to Sunday from 12:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m.

  2. International tourists who arrive in Panama and need to move during the mobility restriction, curfew, and total quarantine, may do so as long as they provide valid information about their plane ticket, hotel reservation, and/or passport.

    1. Travel agents, tour operators and travel guides who provide services to international travelers will be able to make transfers during curfew hours. They must have an authorization form from their employer, as well as the plane tickets and the arrival or departure times of the tourists who are transferring.

  3. The use of a mask is mandatory in public spaces alike, for residents and visitors.

  4. Beaches, rivers, spas, swimming pools (in social areas and hotels), and parks are open to visitors only during mobility hours.

  5. Restaurants must operate with a reservation system to avoid crowds.

  6. The tables are separated by a distance of at least two (2) meters.

  7. Reduced occupancy capacity (50%) for shared ground transportation vehicles.

  8. Event spaces are limited to 30% capacity and four (4) people per table.

  9. Tourist activities, cultural and creative attractions, libraries, cinemas and theaters, casinos and others will be implementing security protocols and may be operating with reduced capacity and restricted hours.

 

  1. Business meetings are allowed up to 25 people.
