Reviews
Mercado De Mariscos Cinta Costera 4.2 · Seafood market Closed until Thu 5:00 a.m. Mercado De Mariscos Cinta Costera is the seafood market on the Cinta Costera beside Casco Viejo, with the fresh fish market downstairs and several casual seafood restaurants upstairs serving the catch of the day. Panama Sovereign Realty Writing The Mercado de Mariscos is a must-stop if you are walking the Cinta Costera and looking for fresh seafood, good value, and a great view. This is not a luxury dining experience, but it offers something much better — a true local seafood experience. The market has fresh catches including tuna and other seafood, with several small restaurants where you can enjoy a hearty meal while overlooking the harbor, Panama Bay, and the skyline near Casco Viejo. The atmosphere is casual and lively, and the views make it even better, especially after a walk along the seawall. The portions are generous, the seafood is fresh, and the prices are very reasonable compared to many waterfront restaurants in Panama City. I would rate it about 4/5. If you are looking for a relaxed meal, fresh seafood, local atmosphere, and one of the best-value dining options along the waterfront, this is definitely worth visiting.
Don't be confused. The real best fish & seafood restaurant is located inside the fish market on the second floor. We had one of the best FRESH fish meals there. The corvina filet was delicious, following day we came back for the garlic octopus. Friendly attention and great prices, check the menu. Hopefully will come back on our next trip.
The ceviche was good and very cheap, but walking around the restaurant area felt overwhelming with every spot you walk by someone trying to push a menu into your hands. Just be prepared for the hustle culture if you're a tourist. Ate at The Pearl, loved the combo ceviche and the garlic clams
An amazing fish market with different flavors and taste, it can be an intense experience for tourist because every restaurant is trying to get you to come eat at theirs so you really have to decipher which vibe you’re really looking for. But overall, the food is fresh and tasty and I believe no matter what restaurant you pick you’ll get an amazing experience
This place is like 10 restaurants at one spot! Def be ready for staff calling you into their restaurant! Lots of options for seafood and decent prices. HUGE drinks! There is a large fresh fish market attached to this if you’re into cooking it in your own. Loved the lobster & ceviche!
