From the main island, you will need to make your way to the meeting point, where you will be taken to the boat that will carry you off on your day's adventure. This excursion offers you a glimpse of natural beauty. It is your chance to enjoy bird watching, swimming at Playa Estrella, and observing the starfish that inhabit this area. The excursion offers the opportunity to observe the ecosystem that protects Bocas del Toro from erosion, Punta Manglar, a mangrove that protects the coast and is home to many species of birds, fish, crustaceans, and mollusks. Along a coral reef coastline stretching over a mile, you will see one of several advanced, handcrafted huts built on stilts: Punta Caracol, which ends in the calm, shallow waters of Playa Estrella, the starfish beach that precedes Bocas del Drago. The beaches contain tens to hundreds of starfish in perfect harmony and tranquility with the palm tree landscape.
